Lorna Utley is a highly accomplished chief executive officer, thought leader, and seasoned board member with almost 30 years of experience growing both for-profit enterprises and non-profit organizations.

Currently, Lorna serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer for Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit which is the largest in the state and generates annual gross revenues of $37 million. Previously she spent the bulk of her career at General Motors in executive leadership positions including human resources, marketing, and president of the GM Foundation. Lorna is a sought after speaker and author having been featured as a Purdue Old Master, having spoken at the Krannert Executive Forum, and having spoken at numerous engagements in the Detroit area as well as having been featured in Hour Magazine, Corp. Magazine, and Krannert Executive Forum publications.

Dr. Dave Liggett

Dr. Liggett has served in a variety of capacities in numerous locations across the United States and the world.

He first practiced as a veterinarian before shifting his focus to veterinary pharmaceuticals and educating farmers around the world on proper techniques and applications for veterinary pharmaceuticals. Dr. Liggett then shifted careers yet again and currently teaches STEM education in schools located in underserved communities. Dr. Liggett is a prime example of being a lifelong learner and allowing his passions to guide his career choices.

Currently BWI has eight tax credit projects with one project receiving the Indianapolis Sustainability Award from the Mayor in 2014.  Gary is also a business consultant and previously worked at AT&T, Eli Lilly, and Roche Diagnostics. In addition, Gary is a sought after speaker, public leader, and is passionate about serving the community through many venues including the Boy Scouts of America, Indiana Black Expo, and Indiana Career Council.

As an original member of “Team Tiger”, he was responsible for helping orchestrate the transformation of the young phenom into a professional golfer. He acted as agent on the best seller “Training a Tiger” by Early Woods and was the founding Executive Director of the Tiger Woods Foundation. During his time at Purdue, Paul was a Resident Assistant in Wiley Hall.

Dave Bevirt is a double graduate from Purdue, holding a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture and a master’s degree in urban planning. He currently is the senior Vice President of leasing for Brookfield’s Washington, DC region where he is responsible for all leasing efforts of the portfolio’s 29 properties in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia totaling 6.2 million square feet.

Dave has over 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. In addition to his role of Senior Vice President, Dave was President of CarrAmerica, Senior Vice President of Cassidy & Pinkard, President for the Washington, D.C. Association of Realtors (WDCAR), President of The Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors (GWCAR), a life member of the Million Dollar Leasing Club, and named “Realtor of the Year” by both GWCAR and WDCAR. Dave is a product of our very own university residences, living and serving as a resident counselor (currently the resident assistant position) and as a staff resident.

In January 2005, Bridget joined Wente Family Estates; California’s oldest continuously operated family-owned winery. For over 10 years, she has served as vice president of sales, overseeing half the country for the Wente Family.

Her primary role was leading a team of three regional sales managers and nine broker representatives in managing the distributors who sold Wente brands. This involved analyzing sales data, accessing opportunities, and forming in-depth financial strategies, pricing, programming and annual sales goal plans. Bridget’s extensive background in the wine industry includes her sale and brand management roles at the Robert Mondavi Winery, Terlato Family Distributors, and E&J Gallo Winery, where her career began 31 years ago. While earning her degree at Purdue University, she credits her time as an RA at Windsor’s Warren Hall as her first opportunity to be a leader.

Rusty serves on a number of corporate and philanthropic Boards and invests in and advises start-ups. He is an appointee of President Obama to the President's Advisory Committee for the Arts for The Kennedy Center. Rusty was the Coordinating National Co-Chair for Technology for Obama.

He was the CEO of SNOCAP through the sale of the company to imeem, Inc. in 2008. SNOCAP empowered record labels and individual artists to monetize their digital creations on MySpace and other websites. Prior he was an EVP at Electronic Arts (EA). Joining EA in 1998, Rusty was responsible for global Human Resources, Talent Management, Corporate Services/Facilities, Corporate Communications/Government Affairs, reporting to EA’s Chairman and CEO. Prior to joining EA, Rusty held positions in the PepsiCo companies for over 10 years, concluding his career with PepsiCo as Vice President, International Human Resources. Prior to his tenure with PepsiCo, he was with the Pratt & Whitney Division of United Technologies. In addition, he spent six years in commercial radio as an on-air personality. He holds an M.S. degree in Counseling, and a B.A. degree, in Radio and TV from Purdue University. In 2003 he was named a Distinguished Purdue Alumni. He and his wife are the named benefactors of Purdue’s Patti and Rusty Rueff School of Visual and Performing Arts. He currently serves on the Corporate Boards of Glassdoor, Runcoach and Workboard. He is an Emeritus Trustee of San Francisco based American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) and former Chairman of The Grammy Foundation in LA. He is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS) and also the co-author of Talent Force: A New Manifesto for the Human Side of Business. Rusty regularly contributes to his blog Purposed worKING and is working on his second book, soon to be published.
